I am an electrical engineer and electrician focused primarily on facility electrical systems. My experience spans building power and lighting design, electrical construction, codes and standards, complex electrical systems, electrical safety, and technical leadership.
Years of hands-on installation and troubleshooting experience inform the way I approach engineering: understand how the system works, get the technical details right, and design something that can be built, operated, and maintained in the real world.

Designing the systems that make buildings work
Facility electrical engineering is the primary focus of my professional practice.
I design and evaluate electrical systems for commercial, institutional, educational, government, public-safety, and other facilities. My work includes power distribution, load calculations, emergency and standby generation, central lighting inverters, fire-pump power, grounding and bonding, lighting systems and controls, specifications, and construction administration.
I have served as Engineer of Record on projects ranging from focused modifications of existing facilities to large new buildings and major renovations with complex life-safety and mission-critical requirements.
Electrical Construction
I work on both sides of the drawings.
My electrical experience extends beyond engineering design. I began working as an electrical apprentice in 2014, earned my residential journeyman license in 2020, and advanced to an Oklahoma Unlimited Electrical Journeyman license in 2022.
I continue to perform hands-on electrical work, primarily in residential and light-commercial settings. Working in the field gives me direct exposure to constructability, existing conditions, installation methods, troubleshooting, maintenance, and the practical consequences of engineering decisions.

Electrical design across diverse building types ranging from focused renovations to complex institutional facilities.
University of Oklahoma First Year Student Housing
Approximately 160,000 sq ft student housing facility across five stories plus basement with ~300 sleeping units, life-safety generation, emergency-lighting inverters, fire-pump electrical power, and standby distribution.
MAPS 4 Restoration Center
Approximately 37,000 sq ft behavioral-health and crisis-intake facility featuring central-inverter life-safety lighting and optional standby generation.
Elk City Fire Station & Police Station
New ~20,000 sq ft fire station and ~14,000 sq ft police station renovation/expansion with emergency generation supporting 911 dispatch, detention, and mission-critical operations.
State of Oklahoma Kelley Building and Daycare
Major interior renovation of two interconnected 5-story buildings totaling ~120,000 sq ft, including full electrical replacement and emergency power for lighting, elevators, and fire-pump loads.
MAPS 4 Palomar Family Justice Center
Three-story, ~74,000 sq ft multi-occupancy facility with emergency generation, fire-pump power, and infrastructure provisions for future photovoltaic integration.

Technical Leadership & Accuracy
A significant part of my current role is helping other engineers and designers solve electrical problems correctly and consistently. I lead electrical technical training at CEC, conduct peer reviews, maintain design standards, and serve as an internal resource for complex code and engineering questions.
At Boeing, I was formally trained and served as a Technical Lead Engineer (TLE), coordinating engineering work, resolving technical issues, reviewing designs, and helping other engineers develop sound technical solutions.
Codes, Standards & Safety
I actively participate in Oklahoma's code-adoption process, previously serving as Chairman of the OUBCC Residential Electrical Technical Committee (2021/2024 IRC) and currently as the voting engineer on the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) National Electrical Code Technical Committee (NECTC).
At Boeing, I served as a Boeing Designated Expert (BDE) for electrical products — Electrical Equipment Safety Assessor, grounded in the principle that safety and technical accuracy come first.
